Detox Diet for Fitness,Energy and Health

A detox diet or a cleansing program may help prepare your body to make better use of organic foods or fitness supplements. So,before you spent any of your hard earned money,it might be worth your time to give it some thought. Let me explain...

Our bodies have to process everything we put into it and eliminate what it cannot digest. If your food contains toxins in the form of chemical pesticides and fertilizers, your body has to figure out a way to get rid of the toxins.

When the body cannot eliminate the toxins fast enough, it stores them until it can get rid of them. This can cause health problems, it can also affect your whole body fitness and health.

Three easy ways to reduce toxins:

  • Drink plenty of water everyday. Water helps your kidneys and liver to flush toxins out of your system. Buying a good water filter that you can attach to your sink faucet is a better and cheaper alternative that bottled water. Always carry some filtered water with you.

  • Buy certified organic foods, but buy from a real whole food or organic grocery store or organic farmers market, or better yet grow your own fruits and vegetables, if you have that option.

  • Deep breathing and fresh air are very helpful in keeping the lungs healthy and free from toxins. If you live in an urban area, find a good spot where you can perform some deep breathing exercises.
Master Cleanse, although a very popular detox diet, I have not attempted due to the lack of protein and other very important nutrients which may result in wasting of muscle tissue, due to insufficient amino acids essential for body repair. A decrease in muscle tissue may slow down your metabolism. Also this type of detoxification option, it’s not recommended for weight loss.

An ancient practice...

Fasting has been around for thousands of years and is a powerful option to eliminate toxins from your cells, your bloodstream, and just about every organ in your body. It can give all your organs a much needed rest. It helps purify your blood, cleanse your liver and kidneys, help you lose weight , cleanses your colon and removes toxins from your tissues.

WARNING! Proceed with caution!

Diabetics and/or less than optimally healthy individuals should proceed with a lot of caution prior to any detox diet or fasting for any extent of time.Consult with your doctor.

Extreme caution is advised for everyone, since it could be detrimental to your health and well-being if this became your lifestyle.

You should also make it a priority to ensure that you take good care of your body before, during and after the detox, by consuming a diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables, continue drinking plenty of water and continue your deep breathing exercises.

Keep it clean

With today’s unpredictable condition of our food supplies, it can be a real challenge to keep harmful substances from entering our bodies. But to keep our fitness and health at the highest level, we need to make the effort to protect ourselves. Keep in mind that detox has many opponents and doubters in the medical and scientific community, so do your own research before proceeding. Make the effort to keep it clean!
